  • Q. Is there a free 15-minute chat available prior to booking session with Trish?

    Yes, there is! Please feel free to reach out to me via txt and leave your name and that you are
    requiring a complimentary chat. I will call you back within the next 24 hours. I endeavour to call after
    4pm the same day as I will be with other clients.

  • Q. What are the office hours?

    My office hours are Wednesday afternoon and Saturday mornings. Please feel free to txt me and I will
    return your message by the end of that business day.

  • Q. How do I book and appointment?

    Please call / txt my mobile number and leave a message. I will get back to you the same business day.

  • Q. Do I need a mental health plan or referral to See you?

    No, you simply message me, and we can book in a time. No long waiting periods or extra service
    visits.

  • Q. Where is the office?

    I am in the heart of Beechboro, Near Altone Park Shopping Centre. Close to public transport if
    needed, and plenty of onsite parking.

  • Q. What is the cost of therapy?

    One-hour sessions are $140.00 for a single person. $180.00 for couples.
    There is a sliding scale of payment for those who are in genuine financial hardship.

  • Q. How will I pay for therapy?

    Direct transfer to bank account is preferable. If you wish to pay another way, please chat with me.

  • Q. What happens if I cancel my appointment?

    A cancellation fee of 50% will be applicable if cancellation does not happen 24 hours prior to
    appointment. I understand life gets in the way, feel free to let me know what’s going on for you and
    we can discuss other arrangements and/or rebook your session.

  • Q. What are Trish’s qualifications?

    Degree in Counselling - Notre Dame.
    Cert iv in Mental Health
    Diploma in Youth Work
    Please see “about me” page on the website for further training that I have undertaken.

    Confidentiality and Ethics
    Counselling is bound by ethical guidelines to maintain confidentiality.
    Your written information is securely locked inside my office.
    Your verbal words stay with me, unless you express you have intentions to harm yourself or someone
    else. Please discuss any questions you may have with me.

  • Q. What happens in the first session?

    We get to know each other!
    The first session is usually an intake session and assessment. This is where I gather information
    about you, your concerns and goals / expected outcomes for therapy.
    Talk about how you want work in session and other expectations you may have for ongoing therapy.

  • Q. What if I want to work on something specific?

    Counselling can help with an extensive range of issues. You are welcome to have a 15-minute chat
    for free to discuss your needs, prior to booking a session.

  • Q. Can I see my session notes?

    You can request to see your notes at any time. This may take a few days to prepare.

  • Q. Am I a NDIS approved service?

    Not currently.

  • Q. What if I don’t like the counsellor?

    If you are not comfortable with me, it would be very helpful to bring it up in session so we can
    understand why. We could work with the issues, or we could find you another counsellor. Your
    mental health is always priority!
